Members in Žirovnica
On Saturday our members traveled to Žirovnica, where a tough opponent awaited them. Despite a poor start in the first set, they made up the gap, but in the end had to concede to their opponent and lost 27:25. Our boys’ focus then dropped in the second and third sets, and so this time they unfortunately recorded a 3:0 loss.
They return home with positive thoughts, a well-played match, and new experience against a quality opponent. The boys tell us that what they mainly lack to win matches like this is more matches played at a somewhat higher level. Another similar match awaits them at home tomorrow already, against the team currently second in the standings, from Škofja Loka. Full of energy and hungry for a win, they take to the Lucija sports hall at 4:30 PM. You are welcome to attend!
Older girls
The Sunday girls’ tournament was postponed, so Valentine’s Day afternoon was instead marked by two wins for our older girls. At Hrvatini Elementary School our girls faced two coastal clubs. They first played against OK Ankaran and beat them convincingly 2:0, and likewise secured a 2:0 win in the second match against gen-i volley.
With smiles on their faces and full of energy, the girls return to the court already on Sunday, when as cadets at Lucija Elementary School they will face the teams from Piran and Luka Koper.
